We purchased model 1094S, which has a colour screen so that you can easily keep an eye on your baby from another room, so would recommend it for that purpose. However, found that we did not use the sensor pad as our baby does not lie still enough!

We have used the sound only one and it is decent enough. It is activated by sound and usually works okay, occasionally it doesn't pick some sounds up.

We used this monitor for our first child. It was simple to set up and use. The downside which is why we changed brands is that we used to get lots of interference.
