We purchased model 1094S, which has a colour screen so that you can easily keep an eye on your baby from another room, so would recommend it for that purpose. However, found that we did not use the sensor pad as our baby does not lie still enough!

Really good monitor when plugged in but if you use on the battery the screen only stays on for a few seconds st a time.
