We purchased model 1094S, which has a colour screen so that you can easily keep an eye on your baby from another room, so would recommend it for that purpose. However, found that we did not use the sensor pad as our baby does not lie still enough!

Found it difficult to keep connected even in our small home, charge was also difficult, seemed to wear out quickly and meant it wasn't properly connecting to the charge point. Very difficult to use without the motion pad which we didn't want bit was given as a gift.

cheaply made and very temperamental we would sometimes hear the baby crying even though we couldnt hear him through the monitor

Good for sensor mat if in a crib with thin mattress. Doesn't work at all with a normal thickness cot mattress. Monitor is horrendous for sound, picks up sound after crying for about a minute. Other monitor picks up everything.
