Silver Cross Number 8 of 12 in Car Seats

I found the older version of of this brand car seat uncomfortable for my infants head and neck as he looked a bit squashed in the seat.

Hated the silvercross seat. Would never buy anything silvercross again.

We have the simplicity car seat and I would not really recommend it. There is no proper head support for a small baby, so her head seemed to be rolling about until she had head control (we had to use extra padding). Our baby generally found the seat really uncomfortable - she would cry a lot while we were out and about (she was generally a very calm baby). As soon as we moved her into the next size seat (a different brand), suddenly car journeys became a lot less stressful! The straps were also fussy - having a 5 point harness - so it was annoying trying to get the baby in and out, especially when she was asleep (seats with a 3 point harness seem much better). The sunshade is also tiny and utterly useless when you put the car seat on the pram - it offers no protection. It also annoying that the Silver Cross Isofix base you have to buy with it is only compatible with this seat, you have to get a different base for other seats. It is light weight though and easy to get in and out of the car, but overall I'd recommend to buy a different brand.

We had one of these that fitted on the 3D pushchair / pram. I didn't really get on with it. It was bigger than a lot of other infant car seats, which madd it heaver. The buggy was even more difficult to push with it attached. I didn't like the way the handle had to be positioned to the back of the seat to make it stable when strapped in. I know there is a newer version of this seat now sold with the 3D pram. I don't know how that compares, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to buy one after my experience so far.

We bought silver cross because we thought it was good quality and value for money, but it was expensive price and yet cheap quality, we also have a silver cross limited edition pushchair where it looks nice but is not made well, our new born was so uncomfortable in the car seat we had to get a new one and the pushchair has no suspension so bashes in to every crack or bump on the path, would not buy a silver cross product again

I found this was at a funny angle. My baby looked squashed up in it. Didn't look comfortable at all. As i paid a lot of money for it, I used it reluctantly anyway.

It's really chunky & very heavy even with the baby inside it. Wouldn't recommend this car chair.
