"Decent pump - easy to use and fairly efficient. Was quite loud though and it did cut out a few times while in use."
Breast pumps and care, the little details make the difference. Price shown for Comfort Single Electric.
The manual pump had an annoying squeak and didn't really work for me

I used the manual pump and once I got the hang of it, it was really easy to use. However, I only expressed for nighttime and the occasional trip out. If you're expressing frequently then might be more feasible to look around for an electric pump, as a manual would kill your hands. Easy to clean and assemble.

Basic manual pump, great value for money and comes with storage cups which are quite useful

Used both the manual and electric pumps and got in well with manual one best, first time around. I had the electric pump recently and it didn't work out well for me. The flange was too small and I couldn't pump more than 2 oz at a time. It was very frustrating . I didn't know you could change the flange size and I wasn't advised about it. It was good value for money I found and have heard it worked well for friends. The manual one I used 15 years ago was excellent and I could pump 9 oz no problem. I think due to breast changes and feeding 4 children it wasn't suitable for me. I ended up manually expressing and collecting in a jug.

Pump was comfortable and easy to use although assembly was a little fiddly. I bought this is a set with different sized bottles which was useful.
