I found this hand pump did the job. It is relatively slow, as are all hand pumps compared to electric but was perfectly suited for occasional use. It comes apart nicely for efficient cleaning and I was overall very happy with it.

In the early days I found the electric very easy to use but now (15 months later) I find the manual one just as easy to use and more effective

I bought my Philips Avent single electric breast pump on Amazon in the black friday sale, so it was great value for money. The pump itself is comfy and easy to use, but I had trouble producing milk using a breast pump generally. Reasonably easy to sanitise by chucking the parts into a pan of boiling water. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable breast pump, though perhaps not the most convenient pump out there for on the move.

This was a manual pump and I loved it... very easy to use and really comfortable. Only downside it is noisy. Great value for money.
