"This site is a great place to get advice from other mums, but it is worth noting that any advice gained here should be cross-referenced and taken lightly, as it isn't regulated as such. However, it is reassuring to read through posts from other mums going through the same things as you are."
Mumsnet was conceived in early 2000 when JustineMumsnet embarked on a disastrous family holiday. Her idea was to create a website where parents could swap advice about not just holidays but all the other stuff parents talk about. Sixteen years later and who'd have thought it would come to this? Mumsnet generates over 90 million page views and over 19 million visits per month.
Always a great range of views and experiences on any problem or query you may have which is great as there are so many things you encounter that aren't covered in formal places for information and often more realistic . I don't tend to but read advice given to others. The use of things like SD and da when he or she would do can get irritating. Some useful reviews when buying products but really they need more views to give a well balanced result you can rely on.

Very judgemental forums. Full of inaccurate information.

A lot of mean mothers on the forums who think they know better than everyone else.
