We have the maxi-cosi cabriolet infant carrier car seat. We love how snug and cosy this seat is for a new born. The various inserts that can be removed as your baby grows are so helpful, to cater for every stage of growth. We found this was a popular car seat to be able to get adapters or to just fit on a variety of prams which was very useful to have this flexibility for choosing the right pram.

Loved the isofix base infant seat, makes it easy to fix seat in place without fiddling around for seat belts in the rain, just a click and you're good to go. Lovely padding, easy to fit and use, removable covers for easy cleaning.

When asking an expert, we were told that Maxi Cosi was the safest brand of car seat. After 2 years and 2 seats, I have to evidence to refute this. The baby seat (Pearl I think) was great, easy to use and we used it with the Family Fix Isofix base. The second, group 1 seat is perfectly fine. There was only one option of seat that would fit the family fix base we had bought but this one seat cannot be used without the base so cannot be easily transferred to another car without taking out the base too. Had I known this in advance, I probably wouldn't have bought it.
