"Next to me cot is fab. Brilliant idea particularly for new nervous first time mum. Also, as my son got older it was a delight to wake up to his smiling face next to me."

Great cot. Great value for money. Sturdy. Lasts from newborn to 5 years. 3 levels. I shopped around and this was best value for money

We used the chicco next to me and it was perfect for those early months. Very secure and safe and we absolutely loved the fact it was a safe version of co sleeping. Definitely recommend to any parents.

We have a next2me. It's a nice design and sturdy but a bit tricky to adjust and I think it's overpriced

We had the next2me crib, bought second hand. We paid for a new matress, but still came in lots cheaper than a brand new crib. We wouldn't have wanted to pay full price, especially as bubs was only in it for 6 months (would be more expensive than the cot bubs went into). Overall it was a good option for us, though getting in/out the bed with it attached was initially a challenge, and then you get used to it. Just make sure you have space (the feet are wider than the actual crib so it doesn't tip). We didn't use it for travelling so cannot comment on that. However when packing up (when bubs moved into the big cot) the push points were a little difficult to manage so it could be collapsed into the bag. Overall a fairly good product, just a shame about the price of a new one.

Expensive, well made, hard mattress, not high enough to be level with our bed, baby would not sleep in it so for us was a waste of money.

Convenient for baby younger than 4 months. Once they move their arms a lot the bedside cot tends to be small.

We bought the chicco next to me crib. It fit next to the first bed we had when our LO was born but then we moved house and bought a new bed and it was too low next to it despite saying it fits against most beds, even divans. I know 3 other mummies who said it's also too low for their beds also. It's good for a travel cot but I think most people buy these for use at home during the first few months and its okay for this for the price but don't expect fantastic quality. The mattress is very hard and some of my friends have bought new mattresses and others have put a blanket between the sheet and mattress because all the babies refused to sleep on it because it's too hard. A firm mattress is recommended but pointless if they won't sleep on it.
