As new parents, Maurice Pinsonnault and his wife felt overwhelmed with worry not knowing whether their baby was sleeping safe and sound. It was a question that occupied their minds whenever they weren’t in the room. Dissatisfied with the current selection of baby monitors available to them, they wanted a monitor that could go on better : one that could detect movement, especially the subtle movements babies make when asleep. Our first baby movement monitor used clever technology that could distinguish baby’s slightest movements.

I bought the angelcare baby monitor and sensor pad. Instructions were easy to follow and it gave great peace of mind. Only flaw was the sensor pad had to be quite a distance away from the base monitor but the wire wasn't long enough to reach to another plug socket . It just wasn't doable in our room. However it still worked great.

This has given me peace of mind for my two children. The sensor pad is great but also having the versatility to use the monitor without it as they get older makes it good value.

I have the monitor with movement sensor. I found that the movement sensor gave great peace of mind when the children were tiny babies. It has only went off once and that was when my youngest had wriggled off the pad! The good thing about the monitor is that it can be used with or without the sensor so it's very versatile. It has lasted through 2 children and will probably last through future children, so great value for money in that respect. It is a little more expensive than other monitors but the moment sensor makes it so worth it. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

Parent unit battery life is short, doesn't monitor correctly if baby is not in the middle, false alarms
