We have the maxi-cosi cabriolet infant carrier car seat. We love how snug and cosy this seat is for a new born. The various inserts that can be removed as your baby grows are so helpful, to cater for every stage of growth. We found this was a popular car seat to be able to get adapters or to just fit on a variety of prams which was very useful to have this flexibility for choosing the right pram.

Good price and good fit but there are much better brands which have better safety ratings.

Our Maxi-Cosi is robust too and our child is comfortable in it. We should have got a cover for it though. It was dark blue but is now quite dirty. Not a reflection on the quality of the seat though.

Very good car seat but even with all the inserts I didn't like it for newborn. From 6 months is fabulous. I use this brand now for my baby and my 4 year old. But from newborn I used Jane. The brand Jane is the best as they make a lay flat car seats which are the best!!!

Both our group 0 & group 1 seat were stylish and easy to use. Our baby always seems comfortable and I feel confident that they are safe and secure.

Both car seats do the job - and if you get the isofix two-way base for the first car seat, you can use it for the second car seat, both rear and forward facing if you have a preference. From research though, there were manufacturers with a higher safety rating when we were looking for the second stage car seat.
