We have the maxi-cosi cabriolet infant carrier car seat. We love how snug and cosy this seat is for a new born. The various inserts that can be removed as your baby grows are so helpful, to cater for every stage of growth. We found this was a popular car seat to be able to get adapters or to just fit on a variety of prams which was very useful to have this flexibility for choosing the right pram.

Good price and good fit but there are much better brands which have better safety ratings.

Really good value for money, fits most cars and can also fit travel systems too. We had an uppababy & our maxi cosi fitted that with two adapters that were easily found on eBay.

The car seat is installed with a (separate) iso fix base that is easy to install and includes clear indicator icons to show that you have installed both the seat base and the seat correctly. The seat itself can also be used in non-isofix compatible cars (meaning the grandparents can use this car seat in their car). The Maxi Cosi pebble had the highest safety rating in the Guardian's study and the isofix base can be used with a range of different car seats for when the baby outgrows the existing seat.
