Buying the base as well as the car seat for the I-size worked out pretty pricey, but the safety swung it for us. The car seat reclines well, which is useful if like us you have a car with seats that are quite bucket-shaped and you don't want your newborn hanging forwards in their seat. I didn't like the padding around the release button as it got stuck blocking it from closing quite a few times. The car seat was also quite heavy and wide, but again this could be due to the safety features.

We bought a joie every stage for my son when he outgrew his 0/0+ seat. We chose it for a number of reasons- firstly it seemed much more comfortable than most. Whereas some have quite a hard feeling back and seat area, this chair is very well padded all over for all stages. We also liked how it had a good range of recline compared to many others. Finally it is great that this will last until we no longer need car seats and we won
