Very happy with our car seat. It has a long age range and is rear facing as well and forward facing. My daughter seems to like it as well. It is quite bulky when rear facing.

I bought a multistage seat that will allow (hopefully!) many years of use from the one seat. While this was the main reason for it's purchase, the downsides are that as a backwards facing seat it is awkward. It is too heavy to manouevre and a pain to strap back in using the seat belt (I found out after purchase that the isofix connectors only work when it is forward-facing) so at this stage there's a fair bit of clambering over the backseat each time I strap him in. It is also difficult to access the strap adjustment toggle when backwards-facing, but luckily my son's growth spurts are relatively widely spaced. On the plus side, these issues should resolve once I can switch to forward-facing. It seems to be comfortable and there are no issues with my son not wanting to get in.

I have used the joie tilt and everystage car seat. Feel they're very safe and secure once fitted. Versatile car seat being able to keep child rear facing til 18kgs. Easy to fit in car, the everystage does take up quite alot of room though.
