We bought the Winnie the Pooh cot for our oldest daughter it was slightly more expensive than others but very sturdy and great quality. My only issue was he drawer under the cot is visible with all of its contents when the cot is at a higher level which is a bit messy looking.

Good quality cots most change into cot beds some do free delivery which is good, often have offers on the cots as well

We purchased a rocking crib from Babies R Us and really liked it, especially useful that we can rock baby to sleep, really robust and well put together crib.
