Think this is seen as a slightly better product but when you check the nutrients etc there is very little difference so not really worth the extra money. However I had no problems with it.

Aptamil was our formula of choice as a back up incase breastfeeding wasn't an option for our daughter. I had friends who had used aptamil for their children and had no problems so I went with it. It turns out that she used formula from the day after her birth day until 1 year old. No problems, good value & easy to prepare. Also We noticed a difference in the consistency, colour & smell between the powder vs pre made formula but baby couldn't tell the difference.

Can't say it's better or worse than others as it's the only one I've used. I'm surprised by the price difference between this and Cow and Gate because they're the same size......

This was the formula recommended to me by my health visitor with my first baby when I was having trouble breastfeeding. I had no problems whatsoever with the Aptimil First Milk and my daughter took to it without any fuss. After a few weeks we eventually moved to full formula feeding when I couldn't breastfeed anymore. She didn't suffer with colic - whether this was down to the formula or not is anyone's guess! - and she settled and slept really well. She moved onto the follow on milk with ease. With my second I combination fed until she was 7 months with Aptimil first milk and found she was much more colicky and suffered with wind for the first few months which I think was more down to what I was eating than the formula as she only had 2 bottle of formula a day. We moved on to the follow on milk after 6 months and again had no problems with the transition. I've heard Aptimil is supposed to be most like mothers milk and having combination fed both my daughters they had no problems going back and forth between bottle and breast so it worked for us!

Reflux formula. Helped almost immediately with silent reflux and colic pain. Disadvantages are constipation. It can be a long 7 minutes waiting too!

Great price although never on offer in baby sales. Pre made bottles in most shops in case of emergency - very handy!

My daughter was born 6 weeks premature and we used Aptamil straight away until my milk came in and once I'd finished breastfeeding. She took to it straight away and didn't have any problems. I'd definitely use it again with future children
