Think this is seen as a slightly better product but when you check the nutrients etc there is very little difference so not really worth the extra money. However I had no problems with it.

Aptamil was our formula of choice as a back up incase breastfeeding wasn't an option for our daughter. I had friends who had used aptamil for their children and had no problems so I went with it. It turns out that she used formula from the day after her birth day until 1 year old. No problems, good value & easy to prepare. Also We noticed a difference in the consistency, colour & smell between the powder vs pre made formula but baby couldn't tell the difference.

This milk is really bad. It has a horrible smell. And straight away when you mix it with water it starts to solidify

My baby is 2 weeks old and our second child. As I am currently doing combined feeding I decided to go with Apatamil as I did the same previously. Everything seemed to be fine to start with but by day 6 my daughter started to become distressed whenever she had a bowel movement which started to become very frequent as the day went on. The milk did not appear to be filling and sustaining her either. The same day I heard about the story regarding the Aptamil milk and put her on a different brand of milk. The next day she was much better, her bowels went back to normal and wasn’t distressed. Thankfully she is now thriving.

We had our son on aptamil from birth (he’s now 5 months) right from the start we had trouble with wind and baby not been comfortable after feeds, he was diagnosed with silent reflux however he started to refuse the bottle completely after we had used the new packaging of aptamil first milk.After seeing the news about the new aptamil ingredients and other parents having similar problems to us we took the decision to change Brands and went onto cow & gate first milk. Within 2 days he was taking bottles no problem and sleeping through the night, he’s like a completely different baby all smiley and content.

My little boy was on the first milk from 5 weeks to 11 weeks, he's had nothing but problems with his tummy, constantly crying, vomiting that much it would puddle where was and only managing to poop once a week. When I heard about the new formula making babies poorly I swapped to sma comfort and it's the best decision I've made. He's a completely different baby. I've seen him smile more in 8 days than I did for the first 11 weeks of his life!

My little boy has been on aptamil since birth & loved it. However since the change (gave it a good few weeks!) he had a really bad tummy to the point he would scream when he saw the bottle & refusing feeds. Changed brand as lost complete confidence with aptamil and felt like I couldn’t trust what I was feeding my baby anymore. He is much much happier and healthier after changing.

I stopped breastfeeding when baby was 6 months old and switched to Aptamil first milk. All was fine until the formulation was changed. This caused my baby to have sever diarrhoea. I have now switched her to SMA and within 24 hours she was back to her normal self. I won’t use Aptamil again as have lost faith in the brand.

This last week my baby has been very unsettled and sick. I put it down to the hot weather. Only to be told by my doctor that Aptamil has recently changed their formula and has made many babies sick. A quick google should several articles relating to this. I have now changed formula and almost instantly baby is much happier. Lots of angry parents out there.

By baby loved this milk until it was changed and now continues to be sick.....will definitely look at a different brand!!!
